Baldur's Gate 3 is finally here - and at least fans of the PC version can get started. Larian's work is considered the best role-playing game of all time, or at least of the last few years.
The project was in early access for around three years, and now you can experience Baldur's Gate 3 in its entirety as a full-price game. The Belgian development studio released the title worldwide at the same time.
PC release takes place – PS5 in September
Fans in this country have been able to play since 17 p.m. The only downside: If you want to play the version for Playstation 5, you'll still have to be patient. The console version is not scheduled to be released until September 6th. Xbox fans will have to wait even longer: Baldur's Gate 3 for Xbox Series X|S could come in the spring.
The first impression of the game is convincing. Fans had long been able to get an idea of the content during Early Access anyway. It was still unclear how the title would work technically. You can now give the all-clear, at least as long as you own enough processor cores.

Older graphics cards in particular are reaching their limits and require quality reductions in the options. Overall, Baldur's Gate 3 runs quite smoothly and there are hardly any criticisms to be found on the technical side. Yes, there are minor display errors here and there, but that can be overcome after the long wait.
If you want, you can play Baldur's Gate 3 on the Steam Deck. The title has not yet been officially verified, but it is already marked “playable”. However, there are hardly any restrictions. The compatibility is a big plus point for fans, as the excellent role-playing game can also be played in a comfortable armchair in front of the fireplace - and with a tankard of mead.
