Corpse Keeper, the action-strategy roguelite with a medieval Gothic look from development studio Melancholia Studio and publisher Thermite Games, conjures up a new content update today. The Steam Early Access title gets new fighters, mechanics and levels of difficulty.
The unholy battle for the city of Lenste rages with undiminished brutality and now three new warriors rise from their graves to take part in this battle. Let the felon pay for his sins even after his death, take the wandering knight into your undead ranks, or rely on what's left of the abbess to rid the cathedral of evil.
Level 4!
Take on an even tougher challenge in the new “Level 4” difficulty level with its adapted rotting mechanics. Cleanse the rotting flesh of your army and restore the luster of the Soul Crystals in the life-giving fountain in the Counselor's Hidden Chamber. In this particularly dangerous area, the strength of the enemies is increased and they also master new attack patterns. Always stay on guard and pray that the mad knight wandering through the cursed walls doesn't end your run prematurely.
Create your own undead army of over 30 lost souls and send them into battle against the Demon of Lenste. Use the forbidden arts of necromancy and nurture your troops with rare resources that help combat the decay of flesh - or simply add the remains of your fallen opponents to your ranks.
Slice your way through horrifying goblins and horrific ghosts and improve yourself and your army with new equipment, weapons and resources left behind by your enemies. Skillfully use your troops' combat skills in tactical battles, find the balance between self-preservation and aggressive advance and fight your way through six eerie locations - including ghostly cemeteries, cursed libraries and blood-curdling dungeons.
“Corpse Keeper was already known for its challenge, but with Counselor's Chamber we upped the ante,” said HC Li, producer at Melancholia Studio. “We're making strides towards having over 40 characters at launch and want to thank the community for speaking up, which led to a variety of features in our latest update.”
Corpse Keeper is available in Steam Early Access for 19,50 euros and supports the languages: German, English, Simplified Chinese, French, Spanish and Japanese.
