2K and Firaxis Games today officially announced Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, the revolutionary new chapter in the epic strategy video game series, coming in 2025 for PlayStation 5 (PS5), PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch and will be released via Steam for PC, Mac and Linux.
The game can now be added to the wishlist on selected platforms. The complete reveal of Civilization VII, including the new game elements and innovations, will follow in August 2024.

Civilization VII was announced at the Summer Games Fest live kickoff with a captivating trailer that showcases humanity's progression throughout history to build a legacy that will stand the test of time.

Developed by the legendary Firaxis Games team, Civilization VII is the seventh main game in the series, a 4X strategy game in which players must build their civilization, expand their territory by constructing cities and architectural wonders, and become more and more prosperous by conquering or cooperating with other civilizations while exploring the vast unknown world.
Sid Meier's Civilization VII has not yet received an age rating.
