Xbox Game Pass is still teeming with new amazing games, updates and perks in March - some of them are even available today! And: Perhaps the best, but at least the coolest, of all Marvel games, fans will soon be able to play for free as part of their Game Pass subscription... "Star-Lord, man. Legendary Outlaw."
Xbox and/or PC Game Pass subscribers get regular new feed, and March is no exception for Microsoft. This month's program is impressive, because there is no shortage of highlights. FAR: Changing Tides is a new work from Frontiert Developments - and then there's the talking, albeit fairly monosyllabic, tree thing.
FAR: Changing Tides celebrates launch
Game Pass releases are already starting today. FAR: Changing Tides is available on cloud, console and PC. Frontier Foundry, the games label of Frontier Developments plc, today announces the release of FAR: Changing Tides. With FAR: Changing Tides, developer Okomotive is expanding the FAR universe.
The game is available now for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Steam and Epic Store – and also part of the Xbox Game Pass.
Today, Okimotive's FAR universe expands with the release of FAR: Changing Tides. In the latest release from Frontier Foundry, players will traverse a flooded landscape on a meditative journey. The game is accompanied by a dynamic soundtrack, a painterly art style and the additional verticality provided by the dive function. As such, this post-apocalyptic adventure aims to provide an unforgettable experience for new players as well as those familiar with the critically acclaimed predecessor 'FAR: Lone Sails'.
In a derelict ship, players will traverse a sunken world alongside Toe, a lonely boy who steers a ship above and below the waves. Toe has to solve puzzles, cross flooded civilizations and brave the unrelenting elements of nature.
Don Schmocker, Lead Designer and Co-Founder of Okomotive, is excited about the release: “What started with 'FAR: Lone Sails' as a university project has grown into a studio with 10 employees, two games and over six years of wonderful memories at Okomotive developed. While our development journey with FAR: Changing Tides has ended, we cannot wait to see how our players will experience their own journey in this wonderful world.”
Flight Simulator: Above the clouds, in the cloud
The Microsoft flight simulator is also already available in the cloud version, so there will be no installation problems with this launch. The latest iteration of the flight simulator is a minor phenomenon: fans have had to wait a long time, but in the end it was worth it. No other game currently flies so beautifully and realistically. From now on you can also play the title directly via the cloud, for example on your smartphone.
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy out March 10
With Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, a real hit will appear in Game Pass on March 10th - in the cloud, for consoles and PC. Players take on the role of the outlaw Star-Lord. Some idiot set off a chain reaction of catastrophic events. Now it's up to the player to prevent the complete interplanetary collapse. You don't have to do that alone, but with a pretty weird crew.
The game was praised by critics and fans, got very good ratings and even received an award, especially cool: the soundtrack with hits from the eighties.
The March 10th launch of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy will be accompanied by additional new Game Pass releases:
- March 10 - Kentucky Route Zero (Cloud, Console and PC)
- March 10 – Lawn Mowing Simulator (Xbox One) ID@Xbox
- March 10 - Young Souls (Cloud, Console and PC) ID@Xbox
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will also be released a week earlier for console and PC.
As usual, the program is supplemented by updates and perks. Now available is the Sentinel Update for No Man's Sky. And:
- March 3st - EA Sports UFC 4: Fighter and Customization Bundle (Console)
- March 9th - Halo Infinite: Pass Tense Mongoose Bundle (Cloud, Console and PC)
- March 14 - Century: Age of Ashes: Hjørrani Savannah Bundle (Console and PC)
Where the new comes, the old has to give way. So there are games in March that leave the Game Pass on the 15th of the month. This time, however, the departures are quite bearable:
- NieR: Automata (Cloud, Console and PC)
- PHOGS! (Cloud, Console and PC)
- Torchlight III (Cloud, Console and PC)
- The Surge 2 (Cloud, Console and PC)
