"WaterDip" is the name of the innovative technology that is used exclusively in the new Gamestop design studio at the company headquarters in Tannheim. In a complex process, a decorative film selected by the customer is transferred to the housing of gaming consoles and controllers using water transfer printing. The offer is currently available for the PlayStation 5 Slim and Regular, and according to the company, the service will be expanded to include other models in the future.
In addition to the new design studio, Gamestop Germany operates its own repair workshop at the Tannheim location. Repairing broken items and saving resources is good for your wallet and promotes sustainability. The same applies to retrofitting old devices.
"For example, we offer our customers the option of having their controllers equipped with innovative Hall sticks," says Stephan Mayer. "By using Hall effect sensors for the analog sticks, inaccurate inputs are a thing of the past. The stick drift that occurs with controllers without Hall effect sensors is also completely avoided."
