The sales figures published so far indicate exactly that. While it was initially unclear how well the conceptually changed adventure game with the new gameplay approach would be received by fans, it is now clear: things are going well for the princess.
New Zelda game also good for German retailers

A further comparison with Skyward Sword HD and Breath of the Wild shows how successful the title is - both titles sold fewer than 200.000 boxed copies in the week of release. The leader remains The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom with 1,12 million games sold - which is probably due in no small part to the quality of its predecessor.
