Rumors about the Nintendo Switch 2 have surfaced again and this time they are quite something. It is - once again - about the release of the console, but also about the price. If the information is correct, the successor will be anything but a bargain.
Official information is still scarce. Fans can at least say that the Nintendo Switch 2 is to be announced by March 31, 2025. Otherwise, the internet is mostly full of rumors - and there are plenty of them. The latest ones are pretty interesting, because they spark the price discussion.
Nintendo Switch 2: $400 to $450?
After the alleged leak about the controllers, fans are waiting anxiously to see if the information about the production of the Nintendo Switch 2 come true. Ultimately, only Nintendo itself can provide clarity. However, the Japanese company is still keeping quiet.
According to a new rumor, the console will be released in summer 2025 – specifically between June and July. Developers from several game studios have now expressed this plan. The leaker “Samus Hunter” added further fuel to the fire and stated on social mediaNintendo is reportedly aiming for a price between 399 and 449 euros. The price may of course vary from region to region.
If that is the case, the Nintendo Switch 2 will be anything but a bargain. Compared to the standard consoles of the competition, Nintendo would be priced quite similarly. On the other hand, the assumed price range for a new console is certainly within the usual range, especially since the Nintendo Switch 2 is supposed to be more powerful than its predecessor.
Of course, these are just rumors and Nintendo has not confirmed the information. Fans are currently looking hopefully towards the Game Awards on December 12th, even though a Nintendo appearance there seems historically rather unlikely.
