During the recent PlayStation digital event, State of Play, Capcom, a leading global video game developer and publisher, unveiled exciting new details about the upcoming release of Resident Evil 4.
The latest look at the highly anticipated title shared a glimpse of Leon S. Kennedy's exploration of multiple new environments, a slugfest with Jack Krauser, and more. Alongside these gameplay revelations, the trailer also announced an upcoming demo for Resident Evil 4 and confirmed that The Mercenaries mode will return as free DLC upon release.
Resident Evil 4 will be released on March 24, 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
Resident Evil 4: Digital "Deluxe Edition" Announced
On their harrowing escape from a small European village ravaged by Las Plagas, Leon and Ashley Graham must traverse multiple environments controlled by the Los Illuminados sect.
Set in a sprawling castle, derelict mines and more, they'll encounter even more infected villagers, deranged cultists, and insidious enemies empowered by the Las Plagas parasite. Leon and Ashley must escape from these opponents while unraveling the hidden mechanisms, mysterious puzzles and numerous mysteries. The duo's path to safety also crosses paths with calculating Special Forces Major Jack Krauser.

Special Agents looking to take on even more challenges in Resident Evil 4 will be happy to know that the popular challenge mode, The Mercenaries, is returning as free post-release DLC. In addition to the Standard Edition of Resident Evil 4, a digital "Deluxe Edition" is also available for pre-order. The digital deluxe edition includes additional game content including costumes, weapons, a treasure map and more. Those who pre-order the Standard Edition will receive in-game rewards including Golden Briefcase and Talisman: Pistol Ammo, while those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will also receive Classic Briefcase and Talisman: Green Herb.
