"Movie Park's Hollywood Christmas" celebrated its second anniversary. Despite mixed weather conditions, the theme park in Bottrop-Kirchhellen recorded positive visitor numbers for the Christmas event. The winter season follows the generally rising popularity of Movie Park. For the entire year 2024, the park recorded the highest visitor numbers since 2002. In their press release, the park operators are looking forward to the upcoming 2025 park season.
Movie Park Germany's 2024 winter event brought the flair of the American holiday season to the theme park over 23 days. For the second time, the whole family could celebrate Christmas in the four themed areas. Illuminations, Christmas trees, and Christmas decorations adorned Christmas Boulevard USA, Rockefeller Plaza, Nickelodeon HoHoHoliday LAND, and Wild West Christmas.

There was the Hollywood Christmas Parade to discover, a 20-meter-high Christmas tree and its celebration by Santa and his elves, a large ice skating rink, various shows, a daily closing ceremony with fire, laser and light effects and other Christmas offerings.
The diverse program of the Christmas event was evidently well received by park guests. Germany's largest movie and theme park recorded a 20 percent increase in visitor numbers compared to the previous year. Managing Director Thorsten Backhaus expressed his positive attitude in the Movie Park press release: "We are very pleased that our winter event grew significantly in its second year and was well received by our guests," and looked forward to the 2025 season with optimism: "Especially as a movie and theme park with American roots, this allows us to further showcase our identity while simultaneously offering our guests more opening days."
Overall, the park recorded its highest visitor numbers since 2002. This is primarily due to the events "Movie Park's Hollywood Christmas" and the popular "Halloween Horror Festival." Movie Park Germany is currently on winter break. It will reopen on April 4, 2025, for the new 2025 season.
