Thea Trinidad, better known as WWE Superstar Zelina Vega, is the latest addition to the Street Fighter 6 ranks of in-game commentators.
Thea, a longtime Street Fighter fan herself, brings her strength, style and infectious personality to the game's ever-growing circle of co-commentators. A current WWE Superstar herself, she is a self-proclaimed gamer and no stranger to the Street Fighter franchise. Just last weekend, she appeared at the WWE Royal Rumble in San Antonio, Texas in a ring outfit that was based on Juri.
Gamer since childhood
"I've been an avid gamer since I was a kid and a huge fan of Street Fighter," says Thea Trinidad. “I can still remember epic fights with my brother, always defeating him with my favorite character Vega. It's unreal to be a part of this amazing series now and I'm honored and grateful for this unique opportunity."
Street Fighter 6's Live Commentary feature features the voices of popular commentators and figures from the Fighting Game Community (FGC) who comment on the gameplay with easy-to-understand gameplay explanations. Recently announced commentators include Jeremy "Vicious" Lopez, Ryutaro "Aru" Noda, Kosuke Hiraiwa, and Steve "TastySteve" Scott, as well as a tag team of co-commentators Thea Trinidad, HE Demon Kakka, and James "jchensor" Chen. The feature will support subtitles in 13 languages.
Street Fighter 6 is the next evolution of the Street Fighter series, combining unique fighting game innovations across three new game modes - Fighting Ground, World Tour and Battle Hub - and will be released worldwide on June 2, 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
