The Street Fighter 6 Showcase, hosted by rap legend Lil Wayne, featured new information on the upcoming game, including new details on the World Tour mode, custom avatar battles, accessibility features, the Year 1 roadmap, and a demo showing the out today for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The demo release for Xbox and Steam will follow on April 26th.
The demo is available now on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Gamers on Xbox Series X|S or PC will have access starting April 26 at 9am PDT. In terms of content, the simple combat mechanics can be learned in the tutorial and Luke & Ryu's moves can be looked up in the character guide. A brand new location has been introduced to World Tour: Nayshall, a developing country in a remote corner of Asia. Players will meet legendary masters and experience the world of Street Fighter with their own avatar as they hit the streets of Metro City, Nayshall and other locations around the world in this new single-player story mode. Street Fighter 6 supports accessibility with innovative sound design that shows how far players are from their opponent, how high the attacks are, whether an attack is a cross-up, how much of the drive meter is left, and much more. For both newcomers and veterans, there are in-depth tutorials, character guides, and combo trials that provide a solid foundation for any character. The third control type besides "Classic" and "Modern" is "Dynamic", where it is possible to activate a character's special abilities by simply pressing the auto attack button and the AI supports the attacks and combos.
Arcade mode is a single player mode where players compete against the computer and learn more about the story of each fighter. Completing Arcade mode with a character unlocks artwork in the gallery for viewing. You can also upload your own results to online ranking lists and compare them. It is also possible to create your own teams with up to five characters and compete against other players or the AI. The match format can be set individually and contains options such as single elimination, doubles or teams.

Extreme Battle has special rules to follow along with fun features like wild bulls or a special version of the hot potato. Extreme Battle can be played to learn the basics of the game or to have fun with friends at a party. Custom rooms can be created to play online against other game fans. The four virtual arcade machines in this room can be set for one on one, extreme battle or training. Fight against the whole world
Ranked matches are making a return, with measures to ease the pressure when opponents at certain tiers lose a match. For one thing, there is now a unique rank relegation protection feature for players in Diamond rank and below. Also, newcomers no longer lose league points if they lose, to encourage online play. Finally, players with the rank of Iron-Gold and Master will no longer be demoted in the league. Each character also has their own individual rank, making trying out new characters in ranked games easier than ever.
To celebrate the entire Street Fighter franchise, we're introducing the Battle Damage feature. During the fights, the characters become more sweaty, get cuts and bruises, and other signs of a heated fight can be seen on their faces and clothing. This feature is only available in certain offline modes and can be turned off in settings. Game fans can create their own clubs in the Battle Hub to play together with friends and find like-minded people. Rashid of the Turbulent Wind, who made his debut in Street Fighter V, returns in Summer 2023. The enigmatic AKI struts into the roster in fall 2023.
